Response To Details.

Speaking about being a person of
either Flight or Fight
and that
our Motives and Intentions
determine which category we belong to,

I learned and am reminded,
by Novelist Amy Tan
[famous for The Joy Luck Club and The Kitchen God's Wife]
Creativity is linked to how we respond to our life experiences -
yes, every detail of it.

Everyday, we subconsciously
collect jigsaw pieces of our destiny.

Yes, we get the vision

we dream the dream.

But to get there,

we cannot afford to overlook the
small matters around us everyday.

To start, you got to notice them.

Open your eyes,
observe.

We space out too much.
We sleep at the wrong time
and
in the wrong places too often.
Say,
dozing off in the train during the rush hour

and at night on our beds, blogging about our insomnia.

Open your eyes,
look around.

You'll realise life
is actually extremely interesting.
We don't have to visit the museum or catch a film
for inspiration
'cos it's around you - even now when you're reading this!

Be aware.
Pay attention.
Listen.
Feel.
Reflect.
Analyse.

Then eventually, and most importantly -
Act.

How we respond to them
is surprisingly critical -

because this is where
Creativity begins.

I highly recommend
you watch this video when you are confident
of commiting 23 minutes of full concentration
or else you'll rob yourself the benefits of her message.

Enjoy.
