Good evening.

I'm stealing a pocket of time to write before I return to the books.

It's untimely to catch a persistent flu since the past week

When there are crucial examinations to sit for next four weeks.

The sweltering humidity makes it more uncomfortable and challenging to focus.

Anyhow, for future's sake

I must endure and persist.

Honestly, I have no flair for numbers.

They were nothing but a frightening hassle since those days when my primary school math teacher pecked at my carelessness in almost every problem sum.

One even mocked at the illegibility of my written number 7 and 9 to my classmates.

Ah, I just recall how I failed my math through secondary school.

My fateful number was 35/100.

Oh, how I loathed math.

Who cares about Algebra, Standard Forms, the area of some Sphere and the angle of that triangle?

One day,

I forgot what came over me.

But it was that day

I decided to confront my fear -Mathematics.

I loathed it becaused I was afraid of it.

''Mathematics, you will not fail me again.

I want to master you.

And make you do my life good.''

That was three months before the big O's.

How I took on every question in the Ten Year Series assessment

And practised my fingers out!

And finally, I made a great leap from a F9 to a B3.

For Principles of Accounts,

I was a champion of failing it.

Yes, I never hated the number zero so much

Because it was my worth in Principle of Accounts.

I decided to give it a smackdown

By hiring help.

And I topped the entire level during my final exam.

Mdm. Kee said,

'Wow. A donkey to a black horse!'

(sounds awful but I got what she meant)

It wasn't a miracle.

It was sheer hard work.

I learnt that Math is important.

If numbers are not good,

Our lives will be chaotic.

We need measurements for everything in life.

Many of us want to be rich.

But we can't be rich,

If we can't master and appreciate the art of Numbers.
If we can't handle Numbers.

I learnt that the fundamentals of Addition and Subtractions

Are elements of Mediocrity.

But if you want to go advance to Excellence

You must embrace and pursue the power of Multiplication

Ah, the beauty of Multiplication.

Won't you like every good thing to multiply?

It's Abundance; More Than Enough; Overflowing

So that you will not only have enough for yourself,

You can have so much to give away to many people.

So!

To you who hate Math,

Stop running away from it.

Turn around,

Seize its horns,

Take the lead,

And make it do you good.

Overflowing

I'm calling out to you.

I'm chasing after you.

I embrace you.

I shall inherit you.

And make you do good

For everyone around me.
