Lessons learned in 2008

Part 2

'No time'
is a ridiculous and invalid reason
human beings make.

Everyone has 24 hours;
from the richest to the poorest man on Earth.

It's just about how we
manage and rule the clock
instead of the other way round.

Psychological health
is just as important
as spiritual health.

I learned that
a strong heart with a weak mind
is just as paralysing as
a strong mind with a weak heart.

In other words,
your thought life/what you speak to yourself [Yah Lan calls it 'self-talk']
is crucial to your emotional state.

July '08 taught me five significant lessons I'll
embrace in this lifetime:

1. Time cannot heal the heart,
only Perfect Love can.

2. To become someone beyond yourself,
you must dare to be broken;

3. It's not about being perfect -
as long as you are mortal;

it's about being loyal and committed
to who all of us belong to.

The faithful always beat
the proud, talented and even the know-it-all.

We can all nurture talent ourselves.
but faithfulness is a character
we can acheive through staying faithful in tough times.

4. Whatever anybody can do or know,
there's only One who does and knows better.

5. To discover who you are,
you need to first know who you belong to.
