A Valerictorian reader commented
on the post:
too many lives
are
wasted
not asking questions
about
themselves.'
Exactly.
The value of
IQ
is
overrated
in our generation.
What's the
profit
of
gaining the whole world
in this lifetime
and
destroying our soul
-
which
last forever?
There are
great problem solvers
who die
never knowing who
they really are. Tragedy
is the
fear of nakedness,
the
insecurity
and
sense of total loss
when
paper qualifications, fame, wealth and popularity
are
stripped away
from you. There are
five levels
of
Emotional Quotient/Intelligence [EQ];
and the most crucial level,
the foundation of a
healthy soul,
is the first level:
Self-Awareness. Until we learn to
ask ourselves
the
right questions
which
help us
understand our
heart and mind
better,
our
values and principles
will be
shaky and confusing.
A
'messy'
heart and mind
lead us
everywhere
but
the places
we are meant to be
today
and
where we should go
tomorrow.
So it's
usually not about
being at the
'wrong' place.
The problem
could be
what we carry
with ourselves
everyday
-
our
malnourished
heart
and
mind
While we invest
in gaining more
knowledge and skills
in life,
let's
invest even more
time and effort
in
gaining
what can make us
who we are
originally designed to
become:
healthy
body,
spirit
and
soul.
