[Melvin Sokolsky]
The words
you pay attention to
frame your world.
No matter how many times
you migrate to a
new environment,
you carry your world
with you;
the
thoughts
you repeat in your
mind
and the
attitudes and beliefs
you carry in your
heart
continually follow
you
wherever you go,
season after season.
You don't have to look for
a better place.
You just need to
manage the words
you allow
into
your world.
*
you cannot pay attention
every word
that we hear on
your
left and right.
These words
describe
where you are now.
These words
frame
your
current condition.
They are spoken by
people
standing at the same level
as you
and
by yourself.
As human nature doesn't require
effort to be negative,
usually,
the words on your left and right
and even those from yourself
bind you down
onto where you are
and
ultimately,
slide you back
further.
What have those
on your left and right speaking?
What have you
been
repeating in your
mind
and
carrying in your
heart?
They describe
the state of your world.
If you want to change it,
it's time to
stop listening
left and right,
listen up.
Incline your ears
to the words
of
the people
who are on
higher ground.
Repeat
those words in your
mind
Adjust
the
attitudes and beliefs
in your
heart.
*
When
your world
becomes
a better place,
the world
will become
a better place.
