You may know you have access to a
privileged future.
You may know you can ask and receive
the best gifts in life -
But just because you have all the promises
doesn't mean you don't have to
go through the trials and hurdles to attain them.
When I was a kid
I used to excel in piano.
My teacher allowed me to skip three grades
because she believed I had talent.
I pretended to play in a concert alot -
I'd get up the 'stage' in my frock,
and drown myself in all my favourite pieces,
and I could play all day!
But I refused to take my exam
and that my dream dashed.
Next was swimming.
My personal coach told me I had the
'talent' and he promised to groom me.
So I swam every weekday,
and started dreaming again.
Again,
I stopped and that dream died.
It's all the same for our
past and future.
We may be delivered from our past
and promised a great future.
But unless we put in the
time to do what we need to do,
we won't possess our great future.
