The Head.

We are the body.

We are not the Head.

Imagine.

The body without the Head -
It doesn't know where to go.
It is afraid to move.

Desperate,
its feet inch about.
Its hands reach out,
only grasping the air.

Frustrasted,
it dashes to every direction.
It bumps onto obstacles
and gets hurt.

The Body
without the Head
cannot function properly.

Without the eyes,
It can't
Dream and visualise anymore.
It can't
Understand many things.
It can't
Believe.

Without the nose,
it can't breathe.
There is no oxygen; no life.
It becomes mechanical, like a robot
without a soul.
It becomes uptight,
it thrives for peace
but a calm moment is hard to find.

Without the lips,
it cannot express itself.
When it tries,
it only mutters words as foul
as its body has become.

Without the Head,
What refreshment can you expect?
The alternatives the world offers
are all temporary.

Without the Head,
the heart is empty.

It doesn't have
Hope,
It doesn't have
Faith,
and it doesn't
know Love.

What Joy is there?

He is the Head,
we are the Body.

Without Him,
we try to create our own future -
'just in case, His plans don't work out', we think.

Without the Head,
we find our own medicine -
our various forms of tranquilizers.

I'm reminded today,
if we know the Head,
and if we stay connected to Him,

We needn't fret about
how we will make it or not in life.
We needn't need to fear what
pain we may have to bear in the future -
who's the next person we'll be disappointed with,
what's the next failure we're going to make.
These worries, these ropes,
can never wrap themselves around you

if you trust
where the Head
leads you.

You can't control your future -
your parents can't,
nor can your friends and loved ones.

Only
Alpha & Omega can.
Only He knows its
beginning and the end.

Where are you going to get your
Confidence for the challenges ahead,

Where are you going to get your
Healing for the wounds,

Where are you going to get your
Faith to believe in what you cannot see yet?

There is nowhere.

But only in one
Person,
the Head
of the Body,

The only
King of kings,

who loves like nobody can -

that
He who has begun a good work in you,
will keep on working in your life,
till the day of its completion.

You can't be sure about
people;
You can't even be sure about
yourself;

but Someone you can be sure of;
the only one
who

Was and
Is and
Is to come.
