Dirt & Divinity.

80% of the human brain
Is water -
This gray mass of nerves and goo
Won't make it in the outside world
But installed in the human body,
Its a supercomputer we tend to underestimate.

'It has been estimated that the Cray supercomputer -
The world's largest processor at one time,
which was capable of making four hundred million calculations per second -
would have to work nearly
one hundred years to equal what the human brain can do
in a minute.'

'The brain uses a 30 000 -mile network of nerves
to relay information at 220 miles per hour or
323 feet per second.'

We are indeed
Fearfully and wonderfully made.

But some us human beings
argue we're products of a cosmic accident.

Scientists say
We share 90% of chimpanzee's DNA.

Recently,
They report a human being share 50% of his DNA with yeast.

Thinking about
'from ashes to ashes, dust to dust',
we're so close to being nothing but dirt.

But we're far from dirt -
We're built with great intellectual abilities
With immeasurable creative talents.

We dream dreams and see visions.
We appreciate beauty
and desire greatness.

We have the knowledge of
Good and evil.
We want to love and be loved.

What made us special?
Who gave us these attributes?
Who are we made in likeness of?

He calls the human beings
His image.

He shaped and fashioned them;

At last,
He breathes into them
And soul and spirit arose within their bodies.

*

We're glorious
When we mirror
You.
