I've been reflecting on the first half of 2008
And so much has happened
These six months felt like a year instead.

Overflowing from the end of 2007,
This year began rather rocky for me.
But since Easter,
The upswing has been amazing
That it seems so surreal.

I used to worry about the downslide
After any breakthrough or upswing in life;
I believed that it is not possible
To have victory all the time.

But since the past years,
I've learnt that
It is possible -
Only when I dare to fail, taste defeat
And bounce back stronger;

Most importantly,
It is possible
When I cling on to Daddy -
When I understand
What I pursue is a dream so big,
Only He can make it possible.

Talking about victory,
Our hearts,
Oh, they're so easily puffed up in victory.

Complacence is in the company of fools
King Solomon.

It's so easy to slide into complacency.
When things are going good,
We tend to lose focus.

Ultimately we become unfaithful,
And when our lives become like a barren tree
We wonder why,
While some become ungrateful and bitter.

Watch out for it.
In victory,
Complacency prowls nearby.
When you're not careful,
It will come and eat up your fruits
Before it comes for you.

But as for us,
It will be from
Glory to glory
Strength to strength

June to December,
It shall be better than ever.
As I think it will be,
It will be.

Enlarge the place of my tent,
And let them stretch out the curtains of my dwellings;

Do not spare;
Lengthen my cords,
And strengthen my stakes,

For I shall expand to the right and to the left.
