Good aft'noon
I'm writing at Paragon's Starbucks
While I guzzle away my new found treat -
Non-fat sugar-less Iced Mocha.
Now, who says frappes and lattes are calorie-laden no-nos?
Almost anyone loves sugar.
Especially when we grow up with parents who award us with sweets and ice creams.
But really,
Minimize your sugar intake as much as possible.
Sugar has no nutritional value,
Yes, zilch.
Even salt has Sodium.
Sugar converts itself into fat when it is unused.
So boys and girls,
Be kind to your waistlines
By managing your appetite for sugar.

I get carried away when I talk about food and nutrition.
I wanted to write to you about Dr. Phil.
With a subscription to his podcast,
I get to learn from him anywhere, anytime.
You should too, I urge you.
Dr. Phil was talking about
How we are easily distracted and misguided
From our original element.
He brought me back to the Garden of Eden
Where the serpent told Eve
That if she ate the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge,
She would be like God.
Sounds like a good deal.
Eve gave in
And paid the price - along with every women thereafter
[not forgetting the unending labour of men]
But awhile before this scenario,
God said,
''Let us make man in Our Image.''
Eve was already made in His image.
She is the daughter of the Creator
Who owns all that she ever wanted.
But just a moment of mindlessness,
She forgot what she already had.
When the serpent made his offer,
Eve thought she was not good enough yet;
She thought she didn't have the real stuff;
Many times,
We find ourselves slouching into a not-enough-bubble;
Either submitting to defeat
Or jumping into a vain rat-race.
We huff and puff
We sigh and complain
We sneer and mock
At what we had always wanted but could not reach.
Peel off the clothes of what the world has put on you,
Or what you have put on yourself.
You already have the real stuff.
You just need to know that,
And trust Him.
Then you'll be thankful
And enjoy
A world of possibilities
Unlimited by every argument of this world.
