I was reminded by what I learnt at the beginning of 2008 -
That there are four types of people in the world

The Wise

The Simple
[c]
The Scorner
[d]
The Fool
The Wise embraces Truth,
He pursues and lives by her.
The Simple receives Truth,
But forgets and neglects her soon after.
The Scorner despises Truth,
Thinking he is wiser than her.
The Fool rejects Truth,
He is blind to her presence at all.

It's very easy to say
We love Truth.
We embrace Truth.
We uphold Truth.
Especially when we know the truth of about someone's character based on his/her behaviour,
We eye on their weaknessess and
Pass our judgements.
The true test of how Wise we are
Is how we can handle the truth about
Ourselves.
That's why we have Scorners.
Oh, don't try telling them what you think they can change to improve themselves.
They'll bite you.
They'll hate you.
They'll despise you.
They will spit,
'Oh, I know what I know.
I am always right.
I don't need anybody to correct me.
This is my life.
I live the way I want it.
That's just the way that I am.
I don't see the need to change.'
Are you already belching listening to such an arrogant, pompous, self-righteous narcissist?
It's like an obese person who says
'I hate vegetables, fruits and excercise.
I am overweight but I am still healthy and beautiful.'
(Uh-huh.)
Many people think
Knowing alot of knowledge makes one Wise.
I've learnt that
Being knowledgeable doesn't mean you're Wise.
There're schools of knowledgeable Fools in this world.
What makes you Wise
Has largely got to do with
Who you submit to,
Who you allow yourself to be influenced by,
Who you're modelling after.
It's got to do with Wise People.
Nobody grows up Wise alone.
And Wise People will tell you alot of truth about yourself.
It will not always hurt.
How often it hurts,
Depends on how willing you are to know the truth
About yourself in the Present,
And how determined you are to grow towards
Who you can be in the Future.
Only Iron can sharpen Iron.
If we are weak in our bodies,
We seek accurate diagnosis and prescription of medication
To heal and strengthen ourselves.
If we are weak in our Wisdom,
We seek accurate diagnosis and prescription of Wisdom
To breakthrough from our limitaitons
And grow into
Greater,
Bigger,
People.
Are you willing to be Taught,
In order to Grow?
