Savour
life,
don't gulp
or
you'll choke
and
die sooner.
Money and achievements
cannot buy
longevity.
Breathing well,
which is
absolutely
free,
can.

Everyday,
we are
chasing
for
something.
When we
get
it,
we
continue
the chase.
Hunger
drives us.
We
consume
all we get
but,
somehow,
we're
never satisfied.
What
are we really
hungry
for?
The answer could be
found in the
most basic element of survival:
breathing.
The
more breaths
you take
per minute
the
higher your risk
of
dying faster.

In my pursuit of the
Dolce Vita,
when
I thought
I've lost my purpose in life
because
even children had schools to go to
but
I had nothing to wake up for,
I gained
a set of lifetime lessons
that
turned my life around
for good.
It was in
nothingness,
when my life was
bare
and
I was
naked,
I discovered the
Way
and
Truth
to
true
Life
was a great deal more than
what society has been advertising
what the
fantastic life is.
The most basic of survival
is
breathing
and
to not just survive
but
enjoy living,
you better
breathe well!
Do you realise
when you're
in a hurry,
you breathe
shorter and quicker
breaths?
Under pressure,
whether you're
hopping-angry
about a project,
impatient
at the queue,
frustrated
in the stuffy bus,
irritated
by your clumsy colleague
or
anxious
about tomorrow's presentation,
it's tougher to
breathe.
Your body
stiffens
while you
rush,
narrowing
blood vessels
that
make your heart
work extra hard.
With interrupted
blood circulation,
body aches
and
numbness
develop.
Your face muscles
become
tense.
Frowningly,
lips purse,
nose scrunches.
Air flow
thins out.
Your eyes
strain.
You
squint.
Vision
blurs.
Migraine.
Dizzy spells.
Concentration
dips.
YouR
mouth and throat,
dry up.
You
swallow hard,
depressing
breath.
You feel
sick.
Out of breath,
you
sigh
instead of
breathing.
You seem to
forget
how to breathe
properly.
And if
this happens everyday,
this hectic lifestyle
does make
living life
a damnation.
Most practically speaking,
such
breathing patterns
actually
shortens
your life span.
Today,
the average number of breaths per minute
for a human being
is
from 15 to 20,
while in the
older times,
it was
8-10.
According to doctors,
the
ideal number
of breaths per minute
for excellent health and longevity
is
6.
Obviously,
we
haven't been breathing well.
We've become a
panting, sighing and gasping
generation.
Long enough,
a host of illnesses
[physical and mental],
bred by the hectic lifestyle
will
leech on your health,
and
pile up medical bills
that
drain all the money
you toiled and moiled for.
Money
cannot buy
longevity.
Breathing well,
which is absolutely
free,
can.
It sounds easy,
but
when's the last time
you
drew a deep breath?
Last week?
We,
the
hurrying, impatient
nation of
bloodshot-eyed
over-workers
and
zonked-out slackers,
gasp,
sigh,
gulp,
pant.
Could you
stop hurrying?
Could you
make time to
appreciate the gift of life
and
treat your
body and soul
better?
Inhale
.......
Exhale
.......
Allow
Life
to flow into your
mind,
heart
and
entire body.
Recharge.
Refresh.
Dolce vita
doesn't cost a penny.
It's so close to you.
Drink it up!
Live life!

Hey this is an interesting piece & a great piece of writing too, as usual. But the 6 breaths a minute thing, I think I'd probably only do that if I were asleep.
