Thoughts Are Cheaper.

It
isn't
the
thought
that
counts.

If
words
are
cheap,

thoughts
are
cheaper.

I was
just exchanging text with
someone whom I
promised to pass
her a gift
and
she replied with:

'No dear
no need to give me
gift.

Your
thought
is
more than enough
:)'

I objected,

'I want to give!

Thoughts are
just
thoughts -

they
don't mean
more than
actions.
;p'

*
If thoughts
really count,

then
everyone should
not
do
anything anymore.

If thoughts
are good enough,

then
dreaming
great ambitions
is enough
to
 fulfill
your destiny,

Truth is,
it
 isn't
the thought
that counts.

It doesn't
count
any bit

because
thoughts are thoughts,

they
don't make
anything happen.

Great thinkers,
only think
and
most of them
think themselves
confused
and
quite insane.

They are
too busy
with their
lofty thoughts
and
pointless reasonings.

After crafting
 the next thesis,
and
winning the new argument,
what have they gained,
really?

Fantastic dreamers
only dream
and
fool themselves
'cos
they achieve
nothing,
nothing at all!

People
who always have
good intentions,
are
not
difference makers

because
their most
compassionate,
generous
and
kind
intentions

are
nothing
but
intentions
that
make themselves
feel
good
about themselves -

which makes
no difference
in anyone.

They are
too busy
getting emotional.

When we
feel
 for someone,
we could even cry for them
but if we
do nothing
after that,

what's the point of those tears?

*
The
 real difference makers
are
those
who
don't only
think,
intend,
and
feel

to make a difference -

they are those
who
make things happen;

those who
do,

those who
give.

Great ideas,
magnificent dreams,
abundant intentions

can only
become reality
when
you do
something about it.

Who is the
greatest?

A great thinker,
a powerful visionary
or
a giver?

It is the
Giver

because
love
is
zero

when it's just a
thought
or an
intention.

Love
is
to give.

We may
think
we love someone.

We
could even
feel
and

have great intentions
for them.

But if we haven't
given,

we have

 never truly

loved at all.

Thoughts,
ideas
and
intentions

don't count.

i don't really think thoughts are cheaper just because words are cheap.
Words become cheap when people don't act on them when it's alr said. Yes, when thoughts not acted upon, that might be cheap. However, on the contrary, when thoughts are acted upon as compared to words, they become more more valuable in a way.

Dreamers dream, but it doesn't mean they achieve nothing. What about the inspiration they give? What if they actually did act upon their dreams? Of course, there are those dreamers who do nothing but dreaming. But my point is you can't just say dreamers achieve nothing. That's too general, isn't it?

About good intentions, sometimes it's just the thing to get people through. It's enough to know that someone cares about you and is willing to be there. Letting the person know you think about her, that might just give her that extra bit of energy to pull through. It's unavoidable there are situations your friends have that you can't do anything for them except to be there. In this case, thinking itself becomes an action.

I understand that most of the time, thinking alone will not get you anywhere. Actions need to be taken. Thoughts alone might not be good enough, but it doesn't mean they are not important. An impact comes from actions which comes from thoughts which originally rooted from intentions. Too early to say thoughts are cheap.

One more thing, giving is a supposedly natural thing to do when you love someone. You have to start with intention, then you can act upon it. When someone's love is sincere, when that someone is matured enough to love, giving should be a natural thing to do already, isn't it?
Do you really find that a reminder is necessary?

This post does not deny the fact that thoughts and intentions are the necessary input to produce actions.

The essence of the writing highlights that despite its importance, thoughts and intentions alone are not enough to bring value, for this case, love, to someone. Obviously, not all dreamers are dreamers alone. We are just reminded that if we dream, we should also do.

I understand parts of the writing seem over-generalised but if you read and consider the entire context of the post, this reminder does not condemn thoughts and intentions but it challenges the necessary next step - action.

There are many things we are 'supposed' to know but we don't know all things. We are still learning. And even if we already know some things, we may not always do it. Everyone needs to be educated, empowered and yes, reminded or in other words, encouraged to love.

Please refer to the latest post for a more concise clarification.
Thanks for your feedback.
