Knowing What To Know.

[In celebration of Ghandi's birthday -
India, Raj Patidar]

If wisdom and joy
are both
good,

then
wise people
are
joyful people.

What about
knowledgeable
people,
without
wisdom?

Are they
all
joyful?

No.

Why?

Is there a difference
between
wisdom and knowledge?

*

You could be
knowledgeable,
yet
unwise.

Without wisdom,
knowledge could reduce you
into a
complete fool.

If
wisdom
 is
not its
master,

he will
master you.

He imprisons you
in a
vicious cycle
where you
race round and round and round
and
never get anywhere.

He floods
your head
to the point
you think you're
great.

He exalts
man-made thoughts and reasonings,
analyses and philosophies.

He wins
when
men indulge
in
basking under their
own brilliance
and
glory in themselves.

He wins
when he makes you
proud,
stubborn,
with a mind of your own.

And in
all
your
strength,
effort
and
intellect,

you are still a
man -
knowledgeable,
intelligent,
strong,
diligent,
and
altogether

unhappy,
confused,
angry
and
chronically empty.

Without
Wisdom,

Knowledge
has the power
to
depress, exhaust,
strip you from joy
and abandon you
naked and cold.

How?
