Wise Asks.

Fools

are

headstrong

and 

do what

they

like;

Wise people

listen

to 

advice.

Asking for help

does not 

make you 

helpless.

We tend to 

think and believe

it does.

There was a time

I would never ask for directions

although usually,

I knew I needed to.

My aunt would prod me 

to 

'...wen ren.',

ask someone.

To
 preserve the 
know-it-all image,

I unfailingly responded with -

'No,

I can figure it out.'

And 

nine times out of ten,

I wandered further from 

the destination,

wasted 
time and energy,

cast myself in an 

embarrassment

greater than the beginning.

The 

helpless

are not those who 

ask for help;

they are those

who are

too proud

to ask

they are those 

who
appear 
to be 

in control 

of 
everything

but 

truth is,

they are

crumbling within.

I'd rather

appear like a
 fool

by 

asking for help

than 

pretending 

to be wise

and 

suffer 

from my 

foolishness,


live in regret.
