that molds your
heart
and ultimately,
direct your
actions.
For every song there,
you allowed
it
to be
downloaded.
Everyday,
all sorts of songs surround
you.
Old songs -
familiar lyrics.
These are
memories.
What are yours like?
How does the song
sound?
Sweet?
Bitter?
Bland?
Or no song at all?
New songs -
fresh ones,
those you've never heard.
Before
you download,
stop and
listen carefully.
Do you like it?
Does it do you
good?
It is good,
if it is the
truth.
What does it do
to your
heart?
How does it make you
feel?
What kind of
energy
does it make your
heart
generate
to your flesh and bones?
What does that energy
lead you to
do?
What it makes you do,
is it good
to you,
and
your neighbours?
Self-control
is
a word
notoriously, badly misunderstood.
It has the reputation of
forcing the cork down
when trouble wants to burst of of
your body.
Human beings
hate that word.
It reminds them of
how weak they are
because
for countless times
they couldn't keep the cork down,
blew up and drenched themselves
and all those around them.
And replaying these demoralizing scenes
only convince human beings,
self-control is ridiculous
because it is impossible.
Truth:
it is not about keeping
the cork down!
Self-control
is
deciding
what you
allow and disallow
in your life.
It starts with the
mind.
We all know it is
stupid
to
accept
every file
that
pops at our computer screen
because
we are very clever
to know
that
we are not going to
accept any file
from somebody
we don't
know
and
we don't
trust.
We also know,
that
some times,
usually,
at unpredictable times,
even
people
we know,
we trust and
we love,
sends us
rotten files
by accident -
how careless!...
or
in purpose -
cruel, I know.
Same with
the words, the songs,
you allow
to be
downloaded
in
your mind,
your playlist!
It's best
you
check it -
regularly.
What old songs
do you need
to keep,
and which,
to delete?
Here's how.
*
How many
songs
have you got?
What kind
of songs
are they?
What are the lyrics
about?
What have you been playing
most of the time?
How do they make
you
feel,
what do they do
to your
heart?
And
what has your heart
made you
do?
What has it
made you
say?
