You don't need to die
to get to
heaven.
I know someone who
brought heaven to me,
when I had hell on earth.
Some of us,
we're walking prisons.
From sunrise to sunset,
we carry with us
invisible burdens on our shoulders.
Exhaustion.
Dread
hangs as dumb bells
round our ankles.
We shuffle and drag our feet.
Every step is meaningless,
uncertain,
as we walk to nowhere.
Hopelessness.
A mediocre life
is like lukewarm water.
A mouthful makes
you want to vomit.
But when I was given
heaven,
there I found
a
peace
that surpasses all understanding.
There I find release.
Ropes fall down.
Pressure evaporates.
Refreshment.
Comfort.
Bliss.
You'll only want to go
deeper.
