Vision Shapes You.

We had a girls meeting with
Princess Annya
and the agenda was naming the
shapes and colours of the chocolates and sweets right.

Kids bring out the kid in me.
I love spending time with them.

While I was growing up,
I was afraid of losing the child in me.
There's a very delicate balance to strike here -
cos if I'm not careful, I might just be a childish 22 year old freak.

I was a very creative child, I think.
Everyday was a project day.
I'd set targets to master everything I didn't know how to do -
snapping my fingers
cracking my knuckles
whistling [very undainty of me]
tying my hair
tying butterfly knots [I only wore dresses you see]
painting
sketching
role-playing in all the scenarios I could imagine
[barber shop, coffeeshop, airplane, classroom, jungle, ocean, crocodile swamp, castle]

I loved it!
And I'm amazed how I enjoyed myself playing with myself,
cos I had no one except my imagination.
There's really great power in visualising and imagining audaciously.

I like what Carol said over supper,
'Our vision shapes us.
We don't shape our vision.'

That's so true.

How you envision yourself,
your future,
shapes who you'll be
and how your future will turn out.

Then isn't our perception of things so crucial?

It's very easy to look at the negatively.
We're born negative,
since we're programmed to have such dark minds and hearts.
But, it is possible to
Swing up from a depressing, hopeless life.

Knowing myself,
the moment I isolate from others,
I know it's time to examine my thoughts and attitudes.

We react in certain behaviours when we spiral down.
What yours?
Identify it, then learn how to manage it
before it manages you.

I always find it helpful to talk to people I trust,
people I know who have greater and higher perspectives than me.
I learn that the more transparent and open I am to them,
the more I help myself,
by allowing others to challenge my thoughts and perceptions.

Most importantly,
I will seek my ultimate doctor
and have him check my heart
and make it clean again.

Love never fails.
Everytime he touches it,
I gain perspectives which I never saw,
I receive new dreams and visions.
