It was a sweet melancholic experience to visit
Mount Sophia.
I remember zipping up and downhill in the taxi with Grandma to
St. Margaret's Girls' School.
Scraping my knee and sobbing to the first-aid room was common.
Those were the days
I'd parade my wardrobe of princess cardigans Mum bought from her business trips.
Alongside, I'd lug a red net bag of my Polly Pocket collection.

After school was my private English classes with Mrs. Kerr
At her home, just at the apartment beside.
The smell of red shoelaces (candies) and fresh lavender
She brought from her hometown in England -
Oh, I can still smell them now.
We read every Roald Dahl book aloud together.
'Th'

'Say, ''Yes, please.'''
'Say, ''No, thank you very much.'''

Mrs. Kerr always gave me a mug of milk
Like all her other four very bright children
At every meal.
Grandma would come by with bags of her shopping finds.
Usually, the untasty brown organic breads.
We'd then stroll down the 'secret path' to Yaohan (now Plaza Singapura).
A quiet labryinth of Angsana trees and emerald flora and fauna.
I'd pinch off the glossy Angsana seeds that're littered by the path.
And bring home to admire and remember,
The glittering days spent with Grandma.

Sinema is a local film hub
Which displays the works of local productions.
Kods and I caught the Singapore Short Film Screening.
It's quite disheartening not more than ten came to support.
Many people criticise local productions.
Dream killers find joy in dashing hopes and strangling creativity.
At least others've got the discipline and passion
To do something about their dreams.

Before we get on the global stage,
We need the encouragement from our own people.
We need the encouragement from our own people.

You and I have big dreams.
So does the people around us.
Who else better than ourselves
To encourage them.

Mothers' Day this year is quite extraordinary.
I got together Aunt Zoe, aunt and myself and treated them toA Korean Cuisine (the one at Takashimaya)
And I must say Korean fare is truly exquisite.
I love its appetiser-concept.
And look at this sushi -
An accidental heart-shaped vegetable.
