I love Sundays.
Usually,
It begins with brunch with Mum
(For now, almost religiously, we patronise SoupSpoon at Paragon -
Topping it off with some yogurt at Takashimaya Basement)
To avoid any tummy bulge after a meal,
As Mum says,
We need to brisk walk -
And off we'd go to one of our favourite places, at
Kinokuniya.
Mmm,
The smell of Wisdom and Knowledge in that place.
The lure of it never leaves Mum and I empty-handed.
We'll stock up new books (It's always Food and Nutrition recipe books for Mum)
For our individual libraries.
Mum leaves for her chuch's service
While I'd nestle myself in the cosiest cafe possible
To indulge in my new books over a foamy latte.
Then I'd meet Aunt Zoe two hours later
When we'll catch a movie at Lido (usually so)
And have a hearty dinner.
Mum'd pick me up at Aunt Zoe's place
Where thereafter,
Uncle Patrick joins us after work.
Someday soon,
Soon I pray soon,
I can be the one who drives
Mum and Aunt Zoe for meals and movies;
I'll buy them as many books as they wish
And they'll look back,
Smile at me
And know there's nobody He cannot save,
No one He cannot change.
And say that He is
Good.

A snippet of bashful Ben at his very important day.
Happy Bap', Ben!
