My Love.

You know what.
My mum asked me,
'So nobody asked you out for Valentines' Day?'
I said,
'Nope!'
My mother very tender-lovingly gasped,
'Oh! Lousy lah you. Why...No guys dare to like you is it?
Please be more urgent about it, especially by the next two years.'

(hahahahaha)
Mummy Anna is hilarious!
I can't blame her.
It must be due to my unique history
That she very much yearn to see me with a boyfriend for the first time.

Talking about that,
Aunt Zoe has surfaced as the most ironic in this 'issue'.
She lovingly probed (why I don't have a boyfriend yet)
And then served up an advice so un-Aunt-Zoe,
'Shanshan (yea, that's my baby-name at home),
This is the 21st century.
Guys are more shy now, especially the more decent ones (this is not true!).
So you should be the one who pursue them.
If you're interested,
Don't wait, just throw hints.
Appear before them and strike conversations.
You must be proactive.'

Did I take that?
Only PARTIALLY.
I believe that all things are beautiful in His (only His) time.
Carol says,
'If He cares for the birds in the air that they have food,
Why wouldn't He care for what He knows is best for you?'
That's the exciting part of living under the right Authority, and the one who is Love Himself.
You can put all your hopes and trust in Him,
And have Him pop you beautiful surprises whenever the time comes.

He is never too late.
He is also never too early.
Only He knows when is the Perfect time.

So for the younger ones,
You're lika rosebud that needs ample watering and pruning (character, emotional health,self-esteem, maturity).
Enjoy the strength of your youth,
And the overwhelming Love you receive from Daddy.

I believe it's only when you've experienced unconditional love,
Then you can give unconditional love.
You can't give what you haven't received and tasted.
Let Him show you how.
So you can offer your future-soul mate this priceless offering you can give him/her.
This is the most precious,
Because you can't acquire this through any book/seminar/advice.

I've seen those who have scraped the Perfect Schedule,
And gave their hearts to the wrong people at the wrong time.
Only to find their hearts
Dirtied, worn-out and regrettably shattered.
We don't need to go through pain to learn something
If we are willing to submit and trust in the One who knows better than us.

You see,
If you belong to Him,
You don't need to go through rigorous trial and error,
Study horoscopes and live by the stars
To have the hand of 'Mr. Right/Miss Right'.
These are what lost people do.
There's no one to guide them at all.
I'm not saying the first date will be your spouse.
It just won't amount to multiple relationships that you land up with your desired soul mate.

Just be specific in what you want and you'll have it.
Wan Ee said,
'When I was 19, I told God I want a tall, dark and sporty man.
And I finally met Kan Tin within two years.'
You should see them.
They encourage every hopeful ones that all things really end up good
To those who love Him.

For the 'ready' ones,
(And you're reading this, feeling lonesome this Valentines' Day)
It's coming, it's coming.
Girls, your prince charming is still searching for you.
Guys, your princesses (er...haha!) will cross your paths soon
(but please keep your eyes opened and go for it).

So for 2008,
I'm spending my 14 February with my ever faithful
Mother and Aunt Zoe
For a romantic dinner and movie.

*

No good thing will He withold
From those who love Him.
