Do you remember how you felt when
You discovered something that angered you
And you couldn't wait to confront your offender?
How about this -
Do you recall the last time you realise
A flaw someone has
And you couldn't hesitate to tell he (or the world)
If he knew he's a thisandthat kinda person?
AND
When you did,
(usually)
Nothing changed.
In fact,
It grew worse.
I've always encouraged people to
Love Truth,
Chase Truth.
But not all truth needs to be said.
I read something that reminded me
The difference between Knowledge and Wisdom.
Knowledge speaks from the Brain.
It says all your head knows.
Without considering the consequences.
Oblivious to whether the person is ready to know.
Ignorant of how he'll feel.
Focused on hurting him.
All you want is to
Vent your feelings,
Just because you want to clear your head.
Wisdom speaks from the Heart.
It tells the Brain to wait.
Wisdom counts the cost.
Raises sensitivity towards others' feelings.
Focused to make things better intead of worse.
Because win-win, is best.
Can you see it?
Knowledge can be Stupidity when it's not handled appropriately.
Rather, Knowledge is Foolishness when it's abused.
It's abused when
You use what you realise/discover to hurt others.
When confrontation is necessary,
And done out of the heart,
Iron will sharpen iron.
Otherwise, you break the person.
And you'll have to bear the cost.
Being straightforward is glamorised in our culture.
Freedom of Speech is meant to produce peace, not hurt.
It's not cool being known as a 'straight-shooter'.
Cos in other words,
It means being known as a 'Fool'/Hot-headed/Theonewhohasnocontroloverhisownfeelings'
Our rantings about others doesn't make us any better.
What can ruining other's reputation do for everybody else, and yourself?
Does it boost our confidence?
I don't care what I know.
I don't care what position I hold.
When I can't learn how to handle what Truth deserves,
I'm not a Wise person.
