We shut the mouths of our enemies
Sometimes
We need to remember
To shut our own
When it gets out of control
What's the point of asking
So many questions
To yourself
When you don't know the answer?
Who can give us
The right reply
When we spread
Our emotions so naked
Before mere human
Like ourselves?
Some of us
Begin our day with
Our words,
Or the world's
And
End our day with
Our words
Or the world's
And
We wonder aloud
Why is everything the way it is.
What can we expect
Our life to be
When it is governed
And directed
By our words?
Our, human, words?
What breakthrough can we expect?
What power can we experience,
When our days are framed
By ourselves,
The fallible,
Unpredictable,
And
Imperfect?
We are so unsure,
We can never know all,
How can we understand everything?
If you look at the wind
And try to comprehend its nature,
It's like grasping wind
In vain.
Should life be so sorrowful,
So deeply entangled in
Mental bondages,
Why are we called the saved?
Do we need to endure such pain
After he has already bore it for us?
Wouldn't he have done that all in vain?
What would lighten our load?
Do we need to require
A second round
Of history's most torturous
Infliction,
Do we need to break
His body
And wring his heart
One more time
So we can have a better life?
So that we can be surer about everything?
So that we are more convinced?
It's already done.
He's already finished.
He has already fulfilled his words.
He's pledged his promise to us
Since two millenniums ago.
If you want things to change,
First
Decide who
You allow
To have the
First
And the
Last
Say
Of your day.
Let Beginning and End
Be your
Beginning and End
Then you will see
How different life can be
When you let his words
Have the final say.
When you let his voice
Reign over
The lions,
And most of all,
Yours.
