in the Facebook note on yesterday's post,
The Serious Need For Play.
Part of my private message to him,
I wrote,
'The latest suicides of David Hartano Widjaja
and 27 year old Dr. Allen Ooi
reminded me of
how we could
endanger our emotional health
when we don't have people
to share our needs and hurts.'
He's very kind to send me a reply:
'Dear Val, yes ...
loneliness is a terrible thing.
That's is why
solitary confinement
is considered
the worst form of punishment
in the jail system.
we all need one another.
Sun is getting better a little at a time.
Thanks....
:) Kong'
You don't have to understand solitary confinement
when we are thrown into a jail.
If you observe a little more,
you realise some of the people you know,
have already made their hostel rooms,
or bedrooms
their cell.
The late David Hartono Widjaja and Dr. Allen Ooi
shared a common hobby
that occupied most of their time
other than school and work -
Video Gaming.
It isn't a crime to like video gaming.
But if you allow it to take up your life,
that is,
most of your time
and cost your emotional health,
it is not good at all.
