Even a Prince
had to learn.
Even a Prince
had to grow through
numerous Silent Years.
In his private life,
He took time
to mature,
to be taught
And he was teachable.
He was sensitive and obedient.
He spoke little.
His lifestlye, His little actions,
and the way He looked into people's eyes -
changed lives.
Were there ungrateful people?
Of course.
There are people who call good evil
and evil, good.
Was he ever disappointed,
heartbroken?
He wept for them many times.
He took time to mourn.
And he moved on after that.
Melancholy pulls us back
from pressing on.
There were things to do,
and nothing could overtake his focus.
Everyday, very often,
he scheduled and enjoyed
private moments
when he'd
pour out his burdens and fears,
laid out his doubts and
asked those burning questions.
He then patiently waited
for his father
to come.
And there he received
strength, comfort, counsel, confidence
and most of all,
an unconditional love.
And there they would speak.
Heart to heart.
Spirit to spirit.
His father's desires became his desires.
His wisdom became his wisdom.
His heart became his heart.
And day by day,
He grew to become more and more like
him.
He became he.
Encounter after encounter,
his countenance was increasingly radiant.
A special favour followed him.
Unknown wisdom was always found in his tongue.
Wherever he went,
needs were met;
hurts were healed.
And this continued,
day by day -
most of the time
unnoticed,
sometimes,
unappreciated.
But it didn't matter to him
as long as he pleased his father -
the dearest to him.
33 years passed.
On his last day on Earth,
he fulfilled his calling
and changed the world ever since.
*
That day,
the glory seemed momentary,
the day he disappeared from Earth.
But that glory is still growing -
still changing lives and touching hearts.
Glorious moments are fleeting.
They're not the most important.
But those Silent Years,
those priceless private moments with Abba -
must be experienced and enjoyed first.
Becuase there,
you'll know your father,
and yourself as his son or daughter.
Only until you know yourself
as a son or daughter,
you'll know the true joy
of being paraded by your father.
As I age,
the memories of my childhood spent with my dad
fade as leaf.
Whenever I looked at my friends with their daddies,
I thought I was missing out.
But since my first private moment with
the Dad who knew me before anyone else did,
I found the missing piece in my heart
and learned
that only those private moments with him
make me whole and complete.
How wonderful -
to have his passion my passion,
his victory my victory,
his vision my vision,
his wisdom my wisdom.
his thoughts my thoughts,
his words my words,
his heart my heart.
who he is, who I am becoming
and amazingly,
who I can become one day.
Before the day is over,
experience your private moments with him
tonight.
