Following up from the previous post,
I invite you to think and answer these questions
From Lee Strobel's The Case For Faith book -
They are asked based on the question on
The purpose of pain and suffering in mankind:
[Dr. Peter Kreeft says,
'I believe all sufferings contains
At least the opportunity for good.']
Then...
What are the most significant difficulties, challenges and pain
do you have by far?
How have they shaped your character and values?
*
If you were God,
How would you have designed the world differently?
As you remove suffering or evil and tinker with people's free will,
Think through the consequences that would result.
How would people form character in your utopia?
Would they be more motivated to seek God
In the midst of their pleasures?
If you supernaturally intervened to
Eliminate evil,
Where would you draw the line -
To prevent murder?
Child abuse? Theft? Slander?
Evil thoughts that may prompt evil actions?
At what point are people turned into
Puppets who lack free will
And therefore
Cannot truly express love?
*
Stop, and think.
How would you answer these?

As for me,
It has been through trial after trial,
Challenges and an assortment of pain
When I've collected the best pieces
To complete my jigsaw puzzle of him.
I see him clearer and experience
His presence and power
Most strongly after each trying period.
By far,
I've never been let down.
He's never stood me up.
He was neither late nor early.
He's always there on-time for me.
He's always been faithful.
And because of this truth,
Pain is not an issue -
Since at the end of it,
The value
Always exceeds above and beyond
What pain costs you and me.
